Alternative Description - Project Phases

Through FUNPRODES: FOUNDATION FOR A PRODUCTIVE AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT ECONOMY, the 700 rural families of the three Provinces of Cundinamarca will benefit, integrating them as allies; thus generating a development and a positive impact in the same Provinces. For this, the Marketer will carry out the following Phases:

PHASE I: "ESTABLISHMENT OF INTEGRAL FARMS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF HEALTHY FOODS IN THE PROVINCE OF MAGDALENA CENTRO CUNDINAMARQUES"

The project seeks to consolidate an alternative of healthy food and economic income for the beneficiary families, through the establishment of self-sustaining farms, on properties of 700 rural families in the Province of Magdalena Centro Cundinamarqués.
 
Accompanied by training and technical assistance supported by theoretical-practical workshops, which allow the beneficiaries to project their farms as productive units; the proposal is comprised of three basic components:
 
1. Agricultural Component:
1.1 Fruit-Banana / Banana Association: In an area of ​​1.0 hectare, 400 fruit plants and 400 banana / banana plants will be established, the sowing distance will be 6 × 6 meters for both fruit plants and plants of Bananas; for a total of 600 plants of the two species.
 
1.2 The construction of nurseries in strategic municipalities will be analyzed for the supply of these plant materials.
 
The principles of clean or organic agriculture will be applied to these subcomponents; This is fertilizers, fertilized, microbial broths, fertilizers, puddings, made with products from the same land or farm.
 
2. Livestock Component:
2.1 Bee hives: supply of five hives per family, with all the equipment: queen, drawer, combs, harvesting equipment, overalls, etc. Likewise, a centrifuge will be established every 3 families, to obtain good honey and other by-products (royal jelly, propolis).
 
2.2 The workshops will be organized through specific thematic nuclei:
- Agriculture under the clean production system: Topics:
* Clean agriculture.
* Production of tropical vegetables.
* Fruit trees of warm climate.
* Fruit / banana partners.
* Manufacture of organic fertilizers, fungicides and insecticides.
* Obtaining lean sheep meat, with rations of farm products; like honey from bees.
* Construction of a balanced diet with garden products.
 
3. Marketing and Marketing Component: a team of professionals will be set up, who will be in charge of finding buyers at the national and export levels; the production surpluses that come out of the farms of the beneficiary rural families.
 
4. Water governance and environmental education component:
The educational component has two purposes; on the one hand, sensitize the community about the importance of harvesting, storing and rational use of water. The other purpose is to generate awareness and behaviors for the conservation and protection of water-generating and conserving ecosystems.
 
This topic focuses on the term “Water Governance”, which indicates that each family beneficiary of the resources for storage and sustainable application, has previously appropriate the concepts and culture of adequate water governance; seen as the most important strategic value for the survival of the family and its economic and social stability.
 
The agricultural component is inherent to the construction of a runoff water storage system, to guarantee the sustainability and productivity of the model, during the extreme summer seasons. These components are made up of a reservoir and an artisanal drip irrigation system for fruit trees, bananas and protein banks.

PHASE II: "IMPROVEMENT OF RURAL HOUSING, FOR 700 FAMILIES IN THE PROVINCE OF MAGDALENA CENTRO CUNDINAMARQUES"

The project intends in the habitat improvement phase, the construction of basic housing areas such as the bathroom, the kitchen and a room; This contributes to mitigating the basic needs of the population, generating a feeling of well-being and contributing to the production of the project of Self-sustaining farms, in these properties of 700 rural families of the Provinces.

1. Improvement of Rural Housing: in this item, the 700 rural dwellings will be improved; according to the needs of each rural family: or room, or bathroom, or kitchen; with its hydraulic installations, drains and electrical network.

2. Septic Well Component: Each family will have a septic tank installed.

3. Drinking water storage component: this item is intended for the affected population to have a drinking water reservoir for times when the phenomenon of the child occurs, and other effects of climate change; For which a system for collecting, purifying and storing rainwater has been designed, in a pond on land covered with geomembraba (reservoir), with a capacity of 30m3 (30,000 liters), and PVC tanks for 20,000 liters of water.

4. Solar energy component: In order to guarantee a comprehensive improvement, it is intended that each house has the capacity to produce 3kw per day of clean energy, for this, the panels required for said capacity will be installed together with the accumulator complex.

5. Workshop component: Finally, in order to guarantee that these families do not allow the activities carried out to deteriorate; Workshops will be held for a period of 12 months focused on construction and maintenance activities, both for the homes and for the collection and storage systems of drinking water for domestic use.

PHASE III: "PSYCHOSOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE BENEFICIARY POPULATION"

It corresponds to the process of social awareness and health care; which aims to contribute to the achievement of favorable attitudes such as responsibility, self-esteem, communication, creativity and a healthy life in the 700 beneficiary families.
 
In addition, it is accompanied by training and support from professionals in the psychosocial and health sector; with support from theoretical-practical workshops, which consent the beneficiaries in assertive communication, conflict resolution, among others.
 
Family assessment:
  • Identification of families.
  • Through a semi-structured interview, questions designed to know the family, social and work dynamics will be asked. This will lead us to learn more about the family and perform a psychosocial analysis, with stipulated parameters such as:
  • Family dynamics
  • Conflict resolution
  • Time management
  • Authority management
  • Control of emotions
  • Social skills

The workshops will be organized through specific thematic nuclei:
Awareness: Topics:
  • Exercise self-control of emotions and personal feelings and in the family nucleus as a factor of development and well-being.
  • Encourage the management of workloads and time.
  • The family within a social context and its contribution to local development.
  • Assertive communication within the work to be executed.
  • Roles developed in the nucleus of the peasant family and their contribution to productivity.
  • Community participation and teamwork.
  • Home nutrition, health and wellness issues.
  • Carry out minutes of commitments with the beneficiaries with goals to be met in the short term, and in a measured time make home visits to guarantee the continuity of the project.

PHASE IV: "CONSTRUCTION OF FOOTPRINT PLATES"

The sites where the rural roads are in poor condition will be identified, so that concrete footprints can be built there; helping to improve the transportation of agricultural products and people.
